W" x L" (seat"/back")  The seat cushion Width (W") is always given first - the stuffing seam is always on the Width dimension.  The overall Length  (L") is the next dimension -- and this is the total Length when the cushion is laid flat.  The dimensions in the parenthesis are the seat depth and the back height.  When you order an ottoman cushion -- the stuffing seam is always on one side of the Width dimension (which is the first dimension).
