Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for ordering Replacement Cushions from Patio Direct

a)  Finished sizes are approximate -- based on fabric and cushion configuration.  Any changes to the approximate sizes specified are considered "special orders" -- and additional charges will apply.

b)  Any cushion over 23" in width requires additional fabric -- an additional 50% to the cushion price applies for this "extra width" variation.

c)  Modifications to any cushion size identified "may be" accommodated (please call or email requirements for a "special quotation").  Any modification less than 23" width typically requires an additional 25% to the cushion price.

d)  Fabric Ties are applicable -- only if illustrated --  an additional 10% applies for additional ties not depicted in the illustrations.

e)  If Buttons are required (our cushions do not normally include buttons) -- an additional 5% will apply to for plastic buttons in either white, putty (beige), vanilla or grey.  Buttons can be covered with fabric for another $0.50/button.

f)  Lead time for orders is approximately 3 weeks -- additional lead time may be required for "special orders".

g)  There are NO CANCELLATIONS and NO RETURNS on any Cushion Order (every Cushion Order is considered a CUSTOM ORDER).

h)  Most orders are shipped FOB Winter Garden, Florida 34787 -- additional packaging, shipping and handling charges apply.  Most cushion orders are sent USPS or UPS.

W" x L" (seat"/back")  The seat Width (W") is always given first - the stuffing seam is always on the Width dimension.  The overall Length  (L") is the next dimension -- and this is the total Length when the cushion is laid flat.  The dimensions in the parenthesis are the seat depth and the back height.  When you order an ottoman cushion -- the stuffing seam is always on one side of the Width dimension (which is the first dimension).

General Cleaning Instructions

1. Remove any residual soil by lightly brushing or or scraping the stain or foreign substance from the fabric.  First attempt to remove the stain by sponging / blotting with water.
2. If further cleaning is needed, apply a light mist of our recommended cleaning solution, CasualClean®.  DO NOT use bleach.
3. Work the cleaning solution into the fabric by lightly scrubbing with a soft nylon bristle brush (such as our CasualClean® brush) and rinse thoroughly.
4. Remove cleaning solution with a wet-vac if possible, or blot with a clean soft towel or sponge to remove the stain and excess cleaning solution.  Repeat as necessary to remove stain.
5. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.  Repeat rinsing with clean water as necessary and air dry.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) regarding the different fabrics materials for Cushions, Slings and Umbrellas from Patio Direct

Vinyl-Coated Polyester  Vinyl-Coated Polyester fabrics, such as TEXTILENE® or Phifertex®, are among the most durable and easy-to-clean fabrics and have been a "standard" in the industry for years.  Clean with mild soap or detergent and water -- then rinse thoroughly with clean water and air dry.  Although these fabrics can be cleaned with a mild bleach solution (3 parts water, 1 part bleach and 1 capful detergent) without fading to the fabrics, Patio Direct does not recommend the regular use of dilute bleach solutions.

Solution-Dyed Acrylics  Solution-Dyed Acrylic fabrics, such as Sunbrella®, feature a soil and stain resistant finish that can be cleaned with a soapy solution of soap and lukewarm water.  Solution- Dyed Acrylic fabrics, such as Sunbrella®, do no promote mildew growth; however, mildew may grow on dirt, pollen or other foreign substances that are permitted to stand on the fabric.   Although Solution-Dyed Acrylic fabrics, such as Sunbrella® can be cleaned with a solution of 1 cup bleach and 2 capfuls of soap to a gallon of water to remove more stubborn stains without "bleach marks", Patio Direct does not recommend the regular use of dilute bleach solutions.

Printed Spun Polyester  polyester prints are appropriate for either outdoor or indoor use.  Constructed of 100% polyester yarns, these fabrics are easily cleaned with a mild detergent and water -- then rinse thoroughly with clean rinse water -- and repeat rinsing with clean water as necessary -- then air dry.  DO NOT subject the fabric to water temperature in excess of 100°F.  DO NOT USE BLEACH or harsh cleaners.  Printed Polyesters are not warranted against fading.

Olefin  Olefin fabric are woven with 100% solution-dyed olefin yarn.  Olefin is extremely durable and naturally resistant to mildew and stains.  Olefin fabric can be cleaned with a solution of warm water and a mild detergent -- then rinse thoroughly with clean water and air dry.

Polyester / Olefin Blends  the Polyester / Olefin blends are appropriate for outdoor use and are extremely durable and are naturally resistant to mildew and stains.  Polyester / Olefin blends can be cleaned with a solution of warm water and a mild detergent -- then rinse thoroughly with clean water and air dry. 

Printed Acrylics  Printed Acrylic fabrics are appropriate for outdoor use and are extremely durable.  Clean with a soap and water solution -- then rinse thoroughly with clean water and air dry.

Printed Vinyl  Printed vinyl fabrics are appropriate for outdoor use with a good history of durability.  Clean with a soap and water solution -- then rinse thoroughly with clean water and air dry.
